If you search for Paula Blasi (23 years old) on World Athletics, the governing body of track and field, you will find her best times in the 10 km, 5 km, 1.5 km, and 800 meters – and they are impressive records. If you look a bit further back, around 2022, her name also appears in football match reports. In her free time, windsurfing was and still is one of her great passions.
In short, she is a young woman who loves every kind of sport, excelling in all of them – though none quite as spectacularly as her explosive victory in the Vuelta a España Femenina, which she achieved in cycling. “My mom always tells me I must be one of the girls who has done the most sports (laughs). I love it. I have the mindset that, besides being cyclists, we are athletes, and I like to be functional. If you give me a ball, I will give you four touches too,” Blasi told AS last April after winning the Amstel Gold Race.
In 2024, Paula was part of the Massi team, where she stood out and caught some attention. In fact, several people reached out to World Tour teams warning that a strong new rider was emerging. Some passed, but not UAE – which brought Paula into its development squad in 2025. By mid-year, she was already on the first team. The rest is history.
