UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland has admitted he was taken aback by how Khamzat Chimaev absorbed punches during their bout at UFC 328. Strickland defeated Chimaev in the main event of UFC 328 in Newark, USA, claiming the UFC middleweight title.

Sean Strickland: “When I landed shots and he didn’t even step back, I thought, ‘What is going on?’ My hand was hurting, and he just took those hits. He didn’t even block them,” Strickland said, as quoted by the House of Fight account on X.
The fight ended with the American winning by split decision (47-48, 48-47, 48-47). Strickland now holds a professional MMA record of 31 wins (16 by finish) and 7 losses. He made his MMA debut in March 2008.
