Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has addressed reports of a confrontation between midfielders Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni in the dressing room, stating that the incident was a “normal occurrence among young players.”
Speaking at a press conference, Pérez clarified that the altercation was no more than a momentary emotional outburst, noting that both players quickly reconciled and were seen having coffee together the following day. Despite downplaying the situation, the Real Madrid chief emphasized that the real issue lies in the leaking of details to the media, which fuels rumors and creates the false impression of internal crises within the squad.

“The fight itself was quickly resolved. The dangerous part is when these private moments get shared with the press, because that opens the door to speculation and destabilizes the team environment,” Pérez said.
The president’s remarks come amid growing speculation about Valverde’s future at the club, with some reports suggesting Real Madrid might consider offloading the Uruguayan midfielder following the incident. However, Pérez’s comments appear to be an attempt to calm the situation and reaffirm unity within the squad.
