Trevor McDonald (#72) of the San Francisco Giants delivered a strong start last week, allowing just one run over seven innings against the Padres. He will take the mound again today as the Giants open a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.
The Giants head south to Los Angeles for a four-game set starting this afternoon. Right-hander Trevor McDonald will make his second start of the season for San Francisco. In his first start last Monday, he was sharp, giving up only one run on two hits while striking out eight over seven innings in a 3-2 win over the San Diego Padres.
Opposing him will be Dodgers right-hander Rōki Sasaki, who enters the game with a 5.97 ERA and a 6.81 FIP over 28.2 innings pitched. He has 26 strikeouts against 15 walks this season. In his last outing on May 2, Sasaki allowed three runs on five hits with four strikeouts and two walks over six innings in a 3-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.
